創立emmaAparty後，這十年來經歷婚姻和生育的過程。生命的光芒與滋潤，似乎也 讓過去不曾察覺的創作種子，破土而出。
最先甦醒的，大概是信心吧。從第一件作品《吹氣球兔子》開始，站在旁觀者的角度， 筆下動物們的眼神總是用窺視的神貌、從未與觀眾四目相對。
現在想想，可能那是專屬於年少時代，對外界的好奇。 這幾年來，我漸漸回到內心的美好，就像《自信》中的貓，雖然掩面保有神秘感，但也 直視前方、充滿自信。
跟著這股平靜萌芽的意識，是對山林的關懷。幾次在因緣際會之下、開始頻繁造訪山區。每次遠望群山，總能獲得踏實的安定感。試想這不就是無條件給予的自然嗎?
太陽，總是會給予光芒; 雨滴，總是會帶來滋潤; 大地，總是能修復培育;
於是畫下《擁抱森林》這件作品，兔子肉包不像往常一樣總是站在鮮豔背景前、眼神搶 戲，而卻是背倚翠山、閉眼放鬆。
對山林的愛，也讓我更加關心環境。《最後的冰山》這件作品，正是我對氣候暖化、北 極熊失去棲地與食物來源的反思。 大自然給予我們的啟示，是不是讓我們思考如何順應自然;而與自然永續相處而為之。
我是一個很常做夢的人，每天做白日夢。如果沒有你們大家一路上的支持，我不可能 持續創作到現在。所以，《Forest SleepWalking》，不只是送給自己、更是送給你們大 家的十年禮物，盼望在紛紛擾擾中，能為你們帶來一點心靈的寄託和希望，並期待你願意跟著麻糬、島灰、肉包
和我，一起擁抱自然、關愛地球!
PREFACE
The sun and the rain have finally reached upon my cat, bulldog, and rabbit.
Ten years ago, I founded emmaAparty. Then I got married and gave birth. Gradually, the light of life casts upon me and waking up the hidden seeds of creativity.
The most noticeable one must be confidence. Since my first work of The Rabbit Blowing A Balloon, I had been a bystander drawing animals looking aside. I think this could be the curiosity of the youth. These years, however, I tend to focus on my inner beauty. Just as in Confidence, the cat covers up half of its face to keep mysterious; meanwhile, it looks straight confidently.
What comes with this peaceful state of mind is my concern for nature. I have opportunities to visit mountainous areas. Every time I overlook the hill ranges, I always feel safe and sound. So it occurred to me that this must be nature's unconditional giving.
The sun gives away light, no matter what.
The rain enriches the land, no matter what.
And the land repairs and fosters, no matter what.
Hence, the rabbit in Embracing the Forest is not against a colorful
backdrop as it used to be. Instead, it stands in front of the hills, closing the eyes to chill out.
My love for the mountains has also extended into my concern for the environment. Take The Last Iceberg on Earth. The inspiration was the issue of habitation loss and starvation of polar bears caused by climate change. These sort of messages from nature could be a stark reminder of a more environmentally-friendly and sustainable future.
I dream a lot, especially daydreams. I know I wouldn ́t have been here without your support. Therefore, this 10-year retrospective is not a gift merely for me but also you all. I hope, through reading this, you would feel
hopeful and warm. Meanwhile, respect and love the earth with us!
